A team meeting with H.E Prof. Bundit Sapheacha Dr. SOK Siphana, senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission at Peace Palace on 10 January 2024.
There was fruitful discussion about economic topics and current development actions that the Royal Government of Cambodia could make. There are three main key takeaways from the discussion:
EuroCham's priorities are to find more EU markets in Cambodia and maintain an EU business with Asian markets. Providing and regulating guidelines with transparent instruction in English to attract more foreign companies to conduct business in Cambodia.
A strong collaboration with practical strategies of local companies will help with strong economic growth and compete with multinationals.
Rather than prioritizing specific industries or projects, it could be advantageous to focus more on all the growth sectors in Cambodia, including adopting a multifaceted strategy highlighting all of Cambodia's potential development industries, such as tourism, electronics manufacturing, and agriculture.
