CDC: Registration of 55 Investment Projects with a Total Capital of Approximately USD 467 Million

55 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$467 million were registered by the Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia in September 2025.

In September 2025, the Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia decided to register a total of 55 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$467 million and the potential to create approximately 37,000 jobs. Of the total investment projects, 38 were located outside special economic zones and 17 were located within special economic zones. In the first nine months of 2025, the CIC decided to register 567 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$7.8 billion, an increase of 231 investment projects, or approximately 73%, while the investment capital increased by approximately US$2.5 billion, or approximately 47%, compared to the same period in 2024. It is noteworthy that compared to the investment projects registered in 2024, which were only 315 projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$5.3 billion. In these nine months, the CIC registered 132 more investment projects than the investment projects registered in the entire year 2024.

The prominent investment projects for September 2025 are as follows:

A. Outside the Special Economic Zone

Agriculture and agro-industry

Investment project to establish a Cassava Processing Plant and Fertilizer Products

• Location: Stoung District, Kampong Thom Province

• Approximate investment amount: US$20 million

• Job creation: 90 jobs.

Industry

Investment project to establish a Car Assembly Factory

• Location: Kampong Tralach District, Kampong Chhnang Province

• Approximate investment amount: 19 million US dollars

• Job creation: 1,142 jobs.

B. Inside Special Economic Zone

Industry

Investment project to establish a Textile, Garment and Textile-Related Products Factory

• Location: Chilu Jian Puzhai Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng Province

• Approximate investment amount: 30 million US dollars

• Job creation: 1,078 jobs.
