CDC: Registration of 67 Investment Projects with a Total Capital of Approximately USD 944 Million

67 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$944 million were registered by the Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia in July 2025.

In July 2025, the Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia decided to register a total of 67 investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$944 million and the potential to create approximately 57,000 jobs. Of the total investment projects, 43 were located outside the special economic zones and 24 were located in the special economic zones. Overall, the registration of investment projects increased by 23 projects, while the investment capital increased by approximately US$547 million, equivalent to approximately 138% compared to the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, from January to July 2025, the registration of investment projects was 440 projects, an increase of 206 projects, equivalent to approximately 88%, while the investment capital was approximately US$6.7 billion, an increase of approximately US$3 billion, equivalent to approximately 84% compared to the same period in 2024. It is noteworthy that in just 7 months of 2025, the Cambodia Investment Committee registered 26 more investment projects than the registration of investment projects in the entire year 2024.

The prominent investment projects in July 2025 are as follows:

A. Outside the Special Economic Zone

Agriculture and Agro-Industry

Project to expand production of fruit farms and processing factories

• Location: Lumphat District, Ratanakiri Province

• Additional investment capital: US$226 million

• Job creation: 8,550 positions.

Industry

Iron mining investment project

• Location: Chhouk, Chumkiri, Teuk Chhou and Dang Tong Districts, Kampot Province

• Investment capital: US$168 million

• Job creation: 373 positions.

Tourism

Investment project to build and operate a 5-star hotel with 227 rooms

• Location: Daun Penh District, Phnom Penh

• Investment capital: US$85 million

• Job creation: 230 positions.

Investment project to build and operate a 5-star hotel with 280 rooms

• Location: Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province

• Investment capital: US$62 million

• Job creation: 495 positions.

B. In the Special Economic Zone

Industry

Investment project to establish a factory to assemble machinery and robots

• Location: Changshan Chao Special Economic Zone, Svay Rieng Province

• Approximate investment capital: US$13 million

• Job creation: 433 jobs.
